Bilaspur: A middle-aged man was found hanging inside a parcel compartment of the Chirirmiri-Bilaspur Express Train in Bilaspur district. The body was found on Friday when the train had been shunted to the yard.
The Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel took down the body and sent it for post-mortem. The identity of the deceased, who seems to be in his mid-30s, is yet to be known.
GRP Inspector said prima facie it seemed the man had committed suicide by tying one end of a rope to the noose and the other around his neck. Police said the man was not carrying a train ticket and therefore, his identity could not be immediately known. Investigations are on, they said.
