Lormi: The political landscape in the Lormi constituency of Chhattisgarh district has become increasingly interesting as the election activities gain momentum. Amidst these unfolding events Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel made a visit to the region urging residents to vote for the Congress candidate, Thaneshwar Sahu.
However it was a day of drama when Manish Tripathi, previously associated with the Janta Congress Chhattisgarh (JCCJ) party decided to switch sides and join the Congress party. This decision holds importance as he was originally contesting from the Lormi constituency as a JCCJ candidate. This change in party affiliation is likely to have an impact on the dynamics and landscape of Lormi constituency, which’s a crucial seat in the upcoming elections.
During his address at an event Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel seized the opportunity to speak directly to the public. Strongly criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He accused them of being involved in a ration scam by claiming that while they promised 1 kilogram of ration they had allegedly committed a 3,600 crore rupees scam related to ration distribution in Chhattisgarh.
CM Baghel restated Congress commitment towards fulfilling their promises and highlighted that they not make announcements but also follow through with their implementation. He drew a contrast with BJP by accusing them of engaging in politics.
Baghel underscored the Congress commitment to providing relief through loan waivers for farmers, emphasizing the difference in approach compared to the BJPs position on this matter.
He urged the people of Lormi to remain vigilant and not be misled. He reminded them that their votes are crucial for the development of the constituency and the state as a whole. Baghel concluded by cautioning against placing their trust in empty promises and highlighted the need for transparency and accountability in governance.
