Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has expressed his criticism of the government, specifically directing his concerns toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Baghel’s remarks come in light of events that have unfolded in Manipur, which he finds deeply troubling. He emphasized that the state has been engulfed in turmoil for over 100 days now with consequences. Disturbing statistics reveal a loss of more than 1500 lives, the destruction of over 50,000 houses, and a significant number of residents fleeing out of fear.
Baghel also voiced his distress regarding the attitude displayed by the leadership during their sessions. He highlighted how both the Prime Minister and Home Minister seemed to trivialize the gravity of the situation by laughing off concerns related to Manipur.
During his visit to Mohabhata, in the Saja Assembly region of Bemetara district, Baghel made these comments while accompanied by state officials, including Agriculture and Home Jail Public Works Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu and School Education Minister Ravindra Choubey.
The purpose of this visit was not to address these pressing concerns but to kickstart various development projects valued at approximately Rs 57 crore. These initiatives included unveiling the Kumari Chaubey Devis statue and inaugurating a newly constructed agricultural college and girl’s hostel.
After the program was finished, Baghel interacted with the media. Shared a statement regarding the incident in Manipur. He highlighted the severity of the crisis. Emphasized the requirement for intervention.
