DHAMTRAI: In a shameful act, a man raped a minor deaf and dumb girl in Magarlod Tehsil, Dhamtari CG. According to reports, the matter came to light when the girl was found unconscious at her home.
The incident took place under Magarlod PS limits, Dhamtari. The neighbor as per a probe, in the absence of her family members raped the girl after she came from school and eloped.
A case has been registered against the accused who has been arrested by Magarlod PS officials. Preparations are underway to present the accused before the magistrate. Relevant sections under IPC are being filed said an official added.
The victim meanwhile, was rushed to the community center in Magarlod by the neighbors. She is currently undergoing treatment, said officials in the know.
