Raipur: Amidst the excitement of the Chhattisgarh assembly elections, BJP has suffered a big setback in Manendragarh. Dozens of BJP leaders who have held many big posts in BJP have joined Congress. All the BJP members have left the membership of BJP out of anger over the organization’s neglect.
According to the information, a dozen people including Devendra Tiwari, son of former President of Nagar Panchayat Jhagrakhand, former Nagar Panchayat President Om Prakash Gupta, former District Vice President BJYM Bunty Raina have taken membership of Congress. All of them have entered Congress before Congress candidate Ramesh Singh.
Meanwhile, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge addressed a public gathering in Mahasamund today. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel shared a video of the gathering. Kharge’s rally has been planned a day ahead of PM Modi’s address to the public in Kanker on November 2.
“Let them say whatever they want, we will cross 75 (seats), not less than that. We will provide free education to children from primary to post-graduation, will give cylinders to women.. The elected MLAs will decide”, said Congress President.
Earlier on October 30, BJP Vice President of Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh, Kamlesh Baghel has resigned from all posts in Madhya Pradesh. He said that due to personal relations I had to join Bharatiya Janata Party but I have been influenced by the ideology of Congress. After which the discussion about Kamlesh Baghel joining Congress has intensified. Sources reveal that Baghel had attended the Congress program organized in JC Nagar on November 1, where he met PCC Chief Kamal Nath.
