Manpur. The Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh police station in the district is conducting a continuous and effective anti-Naxal campaign aimed at making the district Naxal-free. As part of this campaign, the police have achieved another major success, thwarting a Naxalite plot to carry out a major crime in time.
The Parvidoh hill, located in the Mohla police station area, boasts dense forests and difficult terrain, and has previously been a major stronghold of Naxalite activities. It was in this area that Naxalites hid explosives to prepare salwahi mines (pipe bombs) intended to harm security forces.
