RAIPUR: Acting on the directions of the National Legal Services Authority, CG has launched a special awareness and outreach program to empower citizens and Haq Hamara Bhi Toh Jai@75. The campaign runs from Nov 1-13.
Under the program, 11,666 people of gram panchayats inclusive of villages affected by Left Wing Extremism and around 18000 inmates of jail across the state will be empowered with legal awareness. Paralegal volunteers and panel advocates are reaching out to people personally or connecting with them virtually. Various types of rallies, competitions, workshops, and National Lok Adalat are being organized during the campaign.
The campaign was inaugurated by the NALSA executive chairman and designated Justice of SC DY Chandrachud on October 31st. The program in the state is being organized under the scrutinization of District Legal Services Authorities. All district judges/ chairman, secretaries, and other officials of the DLSA have been instructed to conduct the programs by the Executive Chairman of Chhattisgarh Legal Services Authority, Justice Gautam Bhaduri, and Chairman of HC Legal services committee Justice Sanjay S Agarwal.
