Raipur: Kumari Selja, the Congress party’s secretary in charge of Chhattisgarh, recently shared the party plans for the upcoming state elections. She revealed that the names of Congress candidates for the polls will be announced by the approaching weekend. The party has set a goal of winning 75 out of the 90 seats.

During a media address leading up to the Chhattisgarh elections, Kumari Selja highlighted the election schedule released by the Election Commission. She explained that voting would take place on two days; November 7 for the region and November 17 for the rest of the state. Selja emphasized that Congress has been preparing for this moment over a span of five years.

The Congress campaign in Chhattisgarh is centred around their slogan, ‘Bharosa Barkarar, Fir Se Congress Sarkar’ (Trust Intact, Congress Government Again). Selja clarified that this slogan represents their commitment to fulfilling promises made during their tenure and distinguishing themselves from BJP’s approach. The aim is to highlight differences between their governance and that of the BJP in order to resonate with voters.
