Surajpur: On the occasion of Chaitra Navratri, the three-day Kudargarh Mahotsav was inaugurated with great pomp on Wednesday at Maa Bageshwari Dham. The event was started by Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwade with the ritualistic worship of Maa Bageshwari Kudargarhi Mata.
On the first day of the grand opening of the three-day cultural and religious festival at Kudargarh Dham, the songs and cultural programs of Bollywood’s famous singer Palak Muchhal and Palash Muchhal attracted the audience. On the first day of the festival, traditional Sargujiha folk singer Kalamanch Pandit Lallu Raj, Sunil Manikpuri, Ayush Namdev along with the artists of Kalakendra and BGM Band Group gave a mesmerizing performance.
In the festival, famous artists of Chhattisgarh enthralled the devotees by presenting wonderful devotional songs in a devotional atmosphere. Earlier, Minister Rajwada inaugurated the nighttime Kabaddi and Volleyball competition organized in the three-day festival. During this, he also visited the stalls set up by various departments.
Addressing the program, Minister Laxmi Rajvade said that the glory of Maa Kudargadhi Mata is not only spread in the district but in the entire state. Former Home Minister and Chairman of Kudargadh Nyas Samiti Ram Sevak Paikra said that the temple area has developed with public cooperation in the past and will develop in the future too.
Minister Rajwada announced that give Rs 15 lakh from MLA funds for the development of the grand entrance of Kudargarh Mata. He expressed his commitment to work for the development of all the necessary facilities in the Dham. He said that with the blessings of Maa Kudargarhi Mata, Surajpur district is continuously developing and the entire area is immersed in a devotional atmosphere.
