Raipur: Today, government employees from every nook of the state of Chhattisgarh have gathered in the state capital and are raising protests and having rallies to get their demands fulfilled. The campaign they are conducting is referred to as “Keep the Pen, Lift the torch”.

The rally is going on under the banner of the Karmchari Adhikari Federation. Later, after the completion of the rally, a memorandum will be handed over to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.

The federation has been conducting the phased campaign to get their fourteen demands fulfilled, including pay scale, regularization, dispelling salary discrepancy, application of dearness allowance, promotion, compassionate appointment, and so on.

Earlier, on December 1, the government employees from different districts in the state raised a Torch campaign in front of their respective district collectorate offices. After this, in the 2nd phase of the movement on December 11, strikes were held in front of every district headquarters, at the end of which, memorandums were handed over to all the district collectors. 

Today, on the 3rd phase of the movement, employees from all the districts have gathered in the state capital Raipur, with their ongoing protest to get the demands fulfilled. A memorandum will be handed over to CM Baghel after their rally.
