INDIA: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, Chhattisgarh chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel practiced various yoga poses on Sunday morning at his residence in the state capital. On this occasion, the chief minister greeted the people of the state on Yoga Day and appealed them to include yoga in their daily routine.
CM Baghel said in his message that yoga is one of the very ancient traditions of India. We also know it as Ashtanga Yoga. Yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharna, dhyana and samadhi are the eight parts of Ashtanga yoga. Asana is a combination of all these, but special emphasis is required on yama and niyama, only then the benefits of Ashtanga Yoga can be found in life. I want to request and urge everyone to make yoga a part of your life.Take some time out for yourself, in which you follow yama, niyama, asana and pranayama.
It is significant that on the call of the United Nations, Yoga Day is celebrated every year on 21 June all over the world. In view of the Covid-19 pandemic this year, mass programmes are not being organized on the sixth International Yoga Day, it is being celebrated on a digital platform this year.
