Raipur: The Income Tax Department’s raids are continuing in Chhattisgarh. Once again the IT team has raided. The IT team has raided the premises of businessmen in the capital Raipur. There is panic among businessmen due to the influence of IT.
According to the information received, the Income Tax Department raided the premises of wholesale cosmetics and artificial jewelry traders in Raipur. Where on Wednesday night the IT team raided Santosh Jewelery and Rahul Traders in KT Complex located on Banjari Road. At present, IT action is going on in these locations since early morning.
Earlier on December 16, 2023, Income Tax Department raid was conducted in Chhattisgarh on 14th of this month. Today is the third day of this raid. After the Income Tax Department raided more than 50 locations, information about seizure of cash worth about Rs 5 crore has come to light. For the last two days, a team of 200 IT officials in Raipur, Bilaspur and Durg is still scanning the documents. In the action so far, Rs 5 crore in cash and all the jewelery has been seized, the accounts of which the businessmen have not been able to provide till the time of writing the news. The Income Tax Department team is taking further action.
If reliable sources are to be believed, the team of Income Tax Opportunity raided the cold storage of Surana family in Barela of Durg district for storing jaggery, Radha Mohan Complex, Lalganga Meadows, Suraj Pulses and also raided the cold storage in Sigma. It is being told that earlier The Income Tax team had also raided. Cash worth Rs 3 crore 45 lakh has been seized from the house of Paras Jain, resident of Samta Colony, Raipur and Rs 1 crore 35 lakh has been seized from the house of Prakash Joshi.
