Narayanpur: A laborer has died after being hit by an IED blast planted by Naxalites in the district. The other one is seriously injured. This case is of the Chhotedongar police station area. However, this incident has not been officially confirmed.
According to the information received, two workers of Amdai Nico Mines were hit by the IED planted by Naxalites. In which one died while the other was injured. It is being told that the workers of Amdai Nico Mines were going to work from the forest side. Meanwhile, the worker’s foot fell on the pressure bomb, due to which the IED exploded. Naxalites had planted IED to harm the security forces.
Earlier on November 7, IED blast carried out by Naxalites and eight encounters between them and security forces marred the first phase of assembly elections held in Chhattisgarh. Four security personnel were injured in an encounter in Sukma district while a commando of CoBRA, an elite unit of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), sustained injuries in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the same district.
