Raipur: The strike of health workers in Chhattisgarh finally ended after six days today after meeting Deputy Chief Minister and Health and Family Welfare Minister TS Singh Deo. Chhattisgarh State Health Employees Association has announced the end of the strike. Representatives of the health employees union met Deputy CM Singh Deo at his residence office today.
Deputy CM urged the health department employees to return to work in the interest of the people of the state. During the meeting, Singh Deo expressed that the delegation of the health employees association will meet chief minister Bhupesh Baghel as well.
More than 60000 health workers from across the state including Delhi, have been sitting on indefinite strike since last 6 days. Officials of the health employees association said that the protest was going on regarding 24-point demands including pay discrepancy, and regularization.
