Chattisgarh: After a spell of fued in the CG Govt, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel Sunday said that he is yet to receive the resignation letter.
In a media interaction, Baghel said- I got to know about it from media. There’s absolute coordination and whatever issue is there, it can be discussed by sitting together.
“I have not spoken to him (Singh Deo). I tried to call him last night, but he could not be contacted,” the CM added
On Saturday resigned from the Panchayat and Rural development department, hinting that he was sidelined in the government though he will continue to hold the other four portfolios. The development comes over a year ahead of the Assembly elections in the Congress-ruled state.
Mr Deo however, heads the department for Health and Family Welfare, Medical Education, Twenty Point Implementation and Commercial Tax (GST) departments.
The Sarguja royal family scion, who has had several showdowns with the Chief Minister in the past three years, documented serious disagreements with his own government in his resignation letter. He claimed the government had “undermined his position as a minister against the set protocol” in an unfair manner and that the party had gone back on the promises in its election manifesto that propelled it to power in the 2018 Assembly elections.
