These consumers have been given a one-year exemption so that during this period they can install solar plants in their homes under the PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme.
It’s worth noting that four months ago, on August 1, 2025, the state government made a major change to the Half Electricity Bill Scheme. The 400-unit limit, implemented during the previous Bhupesh Baghel government, was reduced to 100 units. This directly affected millions of families. However, under the new scheme, the Half Electricity Bill Scheme has been extended to up to 200 units.
