Raipur: Chhattisgarh chief minister today attended the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting wherein President Mallikarjun Kharge assured the Women’s Reservation Bill will be implemented and extended to Other Backward Classes (OBCs) and a nationwide caste-based Census would be conducted if the party comes in power in 2023 Lok Sabha elections.
Kharge criticized the prime minister’s absence from the violence-hit Manipur as the latter continued his visits to other states ahead of state assembly elections. As Election Commission of India prepared to conduct the election in five legislative assemblies of India, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel announced his preparation and confidence in the upcoming election.
“We are ready! The war has started of pride of soil. This chariot will not stop now Chhattisgarh self-respect. Every Chhattisgarhi is ready to resolve and create a new Chhattisgarh, once gain hands will be joined in trust. Congress government again”, tweeted CM Baghel after ECI announced election dates for legislative assembly.
ECI announced that the election will be held in two phases in Chhattisgarh i.e. on 7th November and 17th November 2023. Election for Legislative assemblies of Mizoram is scheduled for 7th November, Madhya Pradesh is 17th November, Rajasthan is 23rd November, and Telangana is scheduled last on 30th November. The entire election process shall be completed on 5th December 2023.
