Raipur: The High Court on Monday will be hearing the petition filed by the suspended ADG GP Singh.The suspended officer had moved the HC submitting his petition for bail on grounds that he was not given a chance by to proove his innocence.
1994 IPS Batch officer, after being arrested on 10th Janauary by the Gurugram police in Noida was presented before a sessions court in Raipur which remanded him in three days police custody. Following which he was presented before a special court on 18 Janauary which ordered a remand of 14 days to Delhi police.
Singh was absconding for almost six months after he was booked for disproportionate assets and under sedition charges. He served as Additional Director General of ACB and EOW before he was transferred to the state police academy in June last year. EOW carried out searches at around 15 locations linked to Singh between July 1 and 3. Investigators claimed to have discovered documents related to movable and immovable assets worth over ₹10 crore during the raids.
