Raipur: The Finance Department has made a vital move regarding the remaining funds related to the projects that were started by the former government but have been put on hold. Orders have been given to all departments, including district collectors, directing them to give the remaining funds for suspended projects to the departments. The issued orders state that the Finance Department has stated that there are unspent sums of money in the bank accounts against funds received for various projects currently under suspension, although they were initiated earlier.
The issue of reconciling these unspent amounts has not yet been resolved by state and field offices. Hence, the Finance Department has ordered the prompt transfer of funds not spent on projects suspended from bank accounts to state government accounts. The department heads who are to be the recipients of the news will be given the attached document, and a copy will be sent to the Finance Department for each submission.
This preventive strategy ensures that the money is used effectively and that the financial management processes are simplified. The funds that remain in the city government’s account after the transfer of the allotted funds to the state government’s account are automatically transferred to the state government’s account, thus ensuring that these resources are used properly and for the completion of ongoing and future projects.
Moreover, giving the department heads the right information will increase the rulers’ transparency and accountability in financial affairs. This phase demonstrates the government’s dedication to the wise utilization of public funds and accountability in implementing public projects.
