Raipur: Raipur, which is the capital of the newly formed state of Chhattisgarh, will have a new attraction shortly. The new government college building will be in the Gudhiyari area of Raipur pending expenditure, said former Cabinet Minister and BJP MLA Rajesh Moont. This project will be funded at an initial outlay of one crore rupees.
Concerning the location of this new government college, Moont explained that an area close to the community hall has been recommended, and the land is Government vacant. The process of this land being allocated to the Department of Higher Education is ongoing. More meetings will soon be held with the Raipur Collector to go through official procedures for land allotment for the construction of the college. The next actions will occur when the initial occupancy of the land is obtained, which will entail the preparation of the estimate for the project, as well as the administration of the construction.
This new college building in Gudhiyari is one of the many projects being carried out by the government to improve and expand the educational facilities available in Raipur. This college’s creation is perceived to bring a significant positive impact to the community in a manner that equals increased access to higher education without having to travel long distances. This keeps with the premier’s promise on the expansion of facilities meant for education as well as the enhancement of the quality education that is being offered to the students.
These, according to the former minister, are the major factors that make this project so crucial for uplifting the educational sector in the region. He has said that with the opening of the new college, the students would benefit as far as the educational sector is concerned. Also, it would bring about an all-round development of the area concerned. This scheme has been considered as the key one in light of the overall government efforts aimed at the further development of education facilities.
