Chhattisgarh: Now in Chhattisgarh, an Aadhar card can be made at the convenience of your home with just one call. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has rolled out this service from Tuesday, November 1. However, this benefit will be available only to children up to five years of age. This new service has been added to the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana to provide essential services to the citizens at their homes. At present, this service has been started in urban areas only.
The toll-free number 14545 has been procured for this service; an appointment can be booked at your convenience by calling the toll-free number at any point in time. As per the date and time fixed by the applicant, Mitan Yojana volunteers will come to your home to register the Aadhar card of the children. Within a few days after the completion of the registration process, the child’s Aadhar card will reach the address given by the applicant.
The Ration card, CGSS/ State Government/ ECHS/ ESIC/ Medical Card, Army Canteen Card, Passport, Birth Certificate, and state of residence for making Aadhar cards of children up to 5 years of age through the Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana is mandatory. At the time of Aadhar registration of children, the Aadhar number and biometric of any one of the parents will be mandatory.
The Aadhar card for children up to five years of age is important to take advantage of various government schemes. It also serves as a digital photo identity card for young children. Apart from this, an Aadhar card will also be useful for a passport, PAN card, or bank account. At present, Chief Minister Mitan Yojana has been started in 14 municipal corporations of the state.
It was told by the officers, that later it would be started in all the urban bodies of the state. Under this scheme, important services like birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, caste certificates, and residence certificates will be provided sitting at home.
