Balrampur: Early this morning, a fire occurred at the Mineral Branch situated in the Joint District Office Building of Balrampur district. When the fire brigades arrived on the scene and were able to suppress the flame, several highly significant files had been burnt. It is home to many crucial offices, such as the Collectorate and the Mineral Branch, where the fire was said to have begun in a storeroom.
In essence, a short circuit is the main suspected cause of the fire. Its consequences were the complete burn of numerous important documents, such as the records of brick kiln chimneys. The fire alarm officials explained that the fire had reached the storage cabinets; however, they managed to rescue some papers and put out the fire.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) and Tehsildar, on receiving the news of the fire, without any delay, came down to the location in order to make an on-the-spot assessment. The officials are assessing the actual loss that has occurred.
The Mineral Branch stores important documents and records that are vital in the conduct of many affairs and activities of different minerals in the district. Its lack of copies can lead to the interruption of those projects as well as administrative activities under the organization. Law enforcement is starting to take other actions to detect the cause of the same and avoid its occurrence in the future.
The data is being sought out, efforts are being made to salvage as many documents as possible, and an intensive search will be conducted to determine the extent of the mishappening. The district administration has said that all measures that can be taken to prevent the loss of the area and to continue departmental operations will be implemented.
