Raipur: A fire broke out on late Thursday night in a hotel at Raipur Railway Station, creating panic. As fire broke out at Hotel Le-Roi, people were evacuated immediately. A sound of huge explosion was followed by fire flames in front part of the hotel.

Sources reveal that fire brigade was informed to reach the spot immediately and there were no loss of life reported. Primary investigations reveal that the cause of the fire was a short circuit. The fire system was installed inside the hotel which helped the firefighters control the fire in short time.

An investigation is being conducted to ascertain the precise cause of the fire. The SHO stated that the police keep any potential for mischief in mind. In this regard, a case has been filed, and more investigation is proceeding.

Earlier a fortnight prior to the incident, over 200vehicles were burned near Raipur Railway station after a fire broke our in the authorised parking of the Chhattisgarh’s capital’s Railway Station. At the time of the incident, about 1,000 bicycles and two-wheelers were parked nearby. To prevent them from catching fire, police officers and emergency workers removed more than half of the vehicles.

According to Rajkumar Borjha, SHO Government Railway Police (GRP) Raipur, the fire was initially discovered at approximate midday in the vehicles parked in a corner of the parking lot inside the grounds of the railway station. The GRP and RPF (Railway Protection Force) personnel were called to move the parked two-wheelers, including motorcycles and mopeds, to safer locations after promptly alerting the fire and emergency services.

According to Borjha, it took around two hours to extinguish the flames and put the situation under control. Over 200 vehicles, including bicycles, had been destroyed when the fire was extinguished. According to the police, the summertime heat, wind, and gasoline spills all contributed to the fire’s growth.

The tragedy has sparked debate on the necessity of appropriate safety measures and procedures to stop similar disasters from happening in the future. It also emphasizes the importance of taking all required safety precautions while leaving cars parked in public areas.
