Ambikapur: A eight year old girl died after the father fed her poisoned chips at Vasundhra Colony. Another child aged one and half year old battles for life at Ambikapur Medical College and Hospital.
The incident is reported from Godhanpuri, district Ambikapur, where the owner of a cement shop identified as Sudeep Mishra poisoned his children and committed suicide. The suicide surfaced after wife and her sister in law came home after shopping. The children and father were brought to the hospital as soon as the wife saw them, however the father and the elder child were pronounced dead on arrival while the baby boy was admitted for medical assistance.
A case has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station. Police officials await recovery of the little child, Krishya to learn further about the case. A police team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Vivek Shukla is probing the incident. Officials confirm recovery of a six page suicide note where he writes to be mentally depressed due to the financial burden. Hitherto it is learnt that Sudeep had a loan of Rs 7 lakhs and faced financial constraints in his bussiness due to which he sometimes gambled as well.
Sudeep is survived by his mother who is paralyzed and father, DK Mishra a retired Executive Engineer of Water Resources Department who is currently with his daughter in Bangalore.
