Chhattisgarh: The BJP party on Sunday initiated the e-Shram campaign launched by the centre to aid support to unorganized worker sectors.  Raipur MP Sunil Soni and Former Agriculture minister of the state stated that nearly 82 lakh registrations were recorded by the authorities so far. Citing the financial setbacks faced by the low wage labourers during the pandemic; Brijmohan said that e-Shram would aid overall support to this category of workers.

On Sunday, the Union Labour ministry informed that more than one crore workers had registered on the e-Shram portal within 24 days of its launch.

The Govt of India launched the e-Shram portal on August 26. This portal aims to build a comprehensive database of the unorganized workforce, like the migrant workers, domestic workers, street vendors, apparel manufacturing labourers, fishing and allied transport workers amongst others.
