Raipur: On the occasion of Eid-Milad-un-Nabi, which falls on October 19th, the district collector has forbidden public gatherings and procession. According to representatives from the district administration, prayers will be permitted to be offered at Masque until 9:00 a.m., but COVID-19 protocol and social separation will be required. The guidelines prohibit Jalsa, procession, public assembly, and program. Furthermore, the use of flags or pylons at crossroads, as well as poles, has been prohibited.
As there is no complete ban on taking out a procession in the city, the district collector urged people to stay at home and commemorate the holy festivals. “We’ve also urged residents to follow COVID-19 principles and preserve social distance while celebrating the holidays,” he added.
These are guidelines issued :
- During the Eid Milad-un-nabi event, no parade, rally, Prabhat Pheri, or bike rally would be permitted.
- In the mosque, Takreer, Parcham, and Kushai will be permitted.
- The programme should be held in a location that does not obstruct the public space.
- During the Eid Milad-un-nabi holiday, no cultural programs will be permitted.
- All Eid Milad-un-nabi activities should be concluded by 9 a.m.
- When crossing government property such as power poles, offices, and road crossings, flag pylons is prohibited.
- Visitors to the mosque are mandated to wear masks and sanitize regularly and maintain social distance.
- The use of any kind of weapons is prohibited during the festival.
- If these rules are violated, legal action will be taken under the Epidemic Disease Act, Disaster Management Act.
