Bhilai, Chhattisgarh: Two people died due to an outbreak of diarrhoea in Bhilai city of Chhattisgarh. While 42 other victims are undergoing treatment at Supela Government Hospital, District Hospital, and private hospital BM Shah. Among those who died, were 11-year-old girl M. Bandhavi, daughter of Sudarshan of Adarsh Nagar Camp-1, and 27-year-old youth Kush Dahre, son of Push Dahre of Ward 31 JP Nagar.
An outbreak of the disease has also been reported in Vrinda Nagar, Santoshi Para of the camp. The condition of all the people admitted to the hospital is said to be under control. The collector has ordered an inquiry into the death of both the deceased. Notably, this is the third time in three months that diarrhoea has spread in Bhilai. The health department of Bhilai Municipal Corporation is trying to find out the reason behind the outbreak of diarrhoea.
It is being told that on Tuesday, the health of the people started deteriorating in Ward 31 JP Nagar of the camp area. People troubled by vomiting and diarrhoea turned to the hospital. The treatment of those who reached the hospital on time was also started immediately. On the other hand, Bandhvi and Kush Dahre could not reach the hospital on time.
Though Kush was brought to Supela Hospital at around 7 am, he could not be saved There is where he died. The in-charge of Supela Government Hospital, Dr. Piyam Singh said that diarrhoea victims have been admitted to the hospital, whose treatment is going on. Everyone’s condition is under control and will be discharged from the hospital in a day or two.
Durg Collector Pushpendra Kumar Meena said, that after receiving information about the outbreak of diarrhoea in the camp area of Bhilai, the entire staff of the health department has reached there. Apart from the private hospital BM Shah, the diarrhoea victims have been admitted to Supela and the district hospital by the district administration where every one is being treated carefully. Everyone’s condition is normal. An inquiry has been ordered into how the two died.
