Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai will be touring Rajnandgaon and Bijaspur districts of the state today. CM Sai would be leaving the state capital of Raipur at noon for his next stop in Rajnandgaon District. He will attend the nomination rally for BJP candidate Santosh Pandey. Afterwards, CM Sai will be leaving at 2:30 PM for Bilaspur where he will be participating in a workers convention.Following this, he will leave for the capital at around 5 PM and arrive in Raipur.

SDM Arun Sao stays with Hon’ble CM Sai on his visits to Rajnandgaon and Bilaspur districts. At 12 pm, they will be in a government bus and will be on their way to Rajnandgaon district to attend the nomination rally. Later, around 2:30 PM, they head to Bilaspur district and participate in a constituency-level workers’ convention at 3:15 PM. They will return to the capital residence by midnight.

The Indian National Congress Congress Pradesh President Deepak Baij will travel to Balod district. He will convene a meeting with party office bearers at Balod. Baij is slated from reaching Dondi by noon. In Dondi, Dallirajhara, and Dondilohara, he will interact with workers to carry out audits pertain to elections. Tomorrow, he will hold meetings with workers in Devri, Arjunda, and Gundardehi.

Today is the last day for filing nominations for the second stage. Voting round two will be held one day after on 26th April Naxalite identified states namely Kanker, Rajnandgaon, and Mahasamund. So far, 35 candidates have filed 63 nomination papers. Rajnandgaon has seen 13 candidates filing 19 nominations, while Mahasamund has 13 candidates with 26 nominations, and Kanker has 9 candidates with 18 papers filed. Nomination papers will be scrutinized tomorrow. Candidates can withdraw their names until April 8. Notification for the third phase will be issued from April 12.
