Raipur: Today, a group of representatives, from the Chhattisgarh All Departmental Contractual Employees Federation had a meeting with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his office in his residence. During the meeting the representatives expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for his decision to raise the salaries of employees by an impressive 27 percent.
The representatives informed the Chief Minister that as a result of this increase they have decided to end the strike that has been ongoing since July 3. This substantial salary hike applies to all employees working across departments in Chhattisgarh benefiting a large number of workers involved in government schemes.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel assured the representatives that the Chhattisgarh government is fully committed to protecting its employees interests and several measures have been taken in this regard. Over time various announcements have been made focusing on increasing Dearness Allowance (DA) and providing housing provisions all aimed at improving employee welfare.
The representatives also handed over a memorandum outlining their demands to the Chief Minister, who assured them that these concerns would be given consideration. The collaborative meeting concluded on a note with the federation of employees expressing their appreciation for the government’s efforts, in addressing their needs and concerns.
The Chhattisgarh government’s dedication, to the well being of its employees, is evident in their efforts to facilitate conversations between employee representatives and government officials.
