Raipur: Veteran Congress leader Motilal Vora took his last breath on Monday at a Delhi-hospital. His last rite rituals are going to take place on the land of Chhattisgarh, where he served as a Rajya Sabha member between April 10, 2002, and April 9, 2020.
His mortal remain has been flown to Chhattisgarh from Delhi. His final journey is going to start at 4:30 PM. For now, his mortal remains are kept at Durg between 12:30 to 4 PM, providing a chance for everyone to pay the last tribute.
On Vora’s passing away, the Congress published their statement, which read – “We offer our heartfelt condolences on the sad demise of stalwart Congress leader, former Union Cabinet Minister, and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Motilal Vora. Congress has lost a guiding light. May his soul rest in peace.”
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, accompanied by other ministers, reached Rajiv Bhavan this morning and tributed his last respect to the deceased leader with wreath of flowers. Vora was also given ‘Guard of Honor’ during the tributary ceremony.
