RAIPUR: According to sources, government employees in CG are soon going to be given a hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) and deposition of House Rent Allowance (HRA) in the General Provident Fund (GPF).
As per people in the know, the Staff officer Federation on January 1st convened with CM Bhupesh Baghel. The duo is said to have had a positive discourse, the source in the know said. A notice to consider the said hike of 6 percent is also forwarded to the concerned officials in the Cabinet, added the source. Approximately, 3.80 lakh govt employees are set to be benefitted from the increased DA.
The Baghel govt had last year in October raised the DA by 5 percent taking it to 33 percent. Under the 7th pay commission, the state govt employees were getting 22 percent DA, which was hiked by six percent and later by five more to make it 33 percent.
