Bastar: According to information received from India Meteorologist Department (IMD), due to ‘Cyclone Gulab’ on September 26th-27th, there may be torrential rains with strong winds in many areas of Chhattisgarh. It is being told that the wind speed is likely to be 80-90 kmph at the time of landfall. IMD has issued a heavy rain warning for Bastar division of Chhattisgarh.
The Cyclonic Storm Gulab will be located 270 km away from the Odisha coast on Sunday morning, after moving westwards at 10 kmph. The cyclonic storm is likely to make landfall around the north Andhra Pradesh coast on Sunday night.
Along with this, the effect of this storm will be strongly seen in Chhattisgarh as cloud conditions remain dense. It is expected that this cyclone will turn into a low-pressure area by the time it reaches Gujarat. At the same time, according to Skymet Weather, due to heavy rains in the last week of September, there may be major damage to soybean and pulses crops in the country.
