Gariyaband: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has registered yet another major success in its long battle against Naxalism in Chhattisgarh. On the basis of secret information, on August 30, the 65th battalion of CRPF has undertaken an operation of “C-level Area Domination Operation” in the Bhaludiggi forest belt under the Mainpur police station limits of Gariaband district. The operation was jointly conducted by F/65 and G/65 companies of the battalion.

During the wide-scale search in areas surrounding Kulhardighat and Bindranawagarh, CRPF troops also recovered a huge cache of essential supplies, which was stashed away by Naxals in the forest. The looted materials were sewing machines, backpacks, plastic shoes, tarpaulins, medicines, food grains, ration items and other everyday use items. Such booked material was immediately destroyed by the police on the spot to ensure that such material was not used by Naxal parties.

Such recoveries demonstrate that Naxal groups continue to try to maintain their organisational existence by storing supplies in remote forested areas, officials say. However, the high frequency and effective coordination of anti-Naxal operations by the CRPF regularly interfere with these supply chains and erode the support systems on which Naxals depend.

The CRPF asserted that its 65th Battalion will persist in undertaking regular area domination, search and combing operations in coordination with the local police and administration. These plans are being implemented not only for neutralising concealed Naxal resources but also for peace, security and confidence of local communities in the affected areas.

By destroying the Naxals’ hidden stockpile, security forces have given them yet another blow to logistics and mobility. This success reinforces the CRPF’s dedication to upturning Naxal networks and reestablishing order in the area.
