Bijapur. On the first day of the new year, the security force personnel were successful in foiling the nefarious designs of the Maoists. The team of CRPF 168 battalion and Basaguda police station recovered and destroyed 08 IEDs planted on the footpath near Timapur Durga Mandir Gauthan.
Naxalites had planted 8 IEDs to harm the security forces. These included 2 pressure IEDs of 3 kg each. Due to the alertness and intelligence of the security forces, the nefarious intentions of the Maoists were foiled. The BD team of Cobra 205 safely destroyed the IED on the spot.
