Chhattisgarh: On Tuesday, a looming atmosphere has surfaced over Chhattisgarh. On one side, Chhattisgarh reported its highest spike in a single day and on the other side, State registered its first death due to coronavirus.
On Tuesday, the sample report of the deceased migrant laborer found in Durg district has come positive of covid_19. Health Minister TS Singhdev confirmed that the laborer died due to coronavirus.
Health minister T.S. Singh Deo said that the person traveling to West bengal from Mumbai who was found dead has tested positive of covid_19. He further added that all the necessary precautions and safety measures were taken while examining the body and taking the sample.
The minister took to his twitter handle to inform “A person travelling in a bus from Bombay to West Bengal was discovered dead when the bus broke down. The body was handled with all due precautions and test samples were taken. The test at AIIMS Raipur has turned out to be positive.”
According to the sources, the migrant worker was traveling to kolkata from Mumbai while crossing bhilai 3- charauda of Durg district he was laid off from the bus as his health deteriorated and immediately took to the district hospital where he was declared dead. It was speculated that he died due to coronavirus. The sample were sent for the confirmation. On Tuesday, the sampled report of the migrant laborer has come positive of covid_19.
Earlier on Tuesday, a total of 68 people were tested positive of coronavirus in Chhattisgarh, this is the biggest hike recorded in a single day for the state. With this, the total number of coronavirus cases in Chhattisgarh reached to 361. On the brighter side, 7 patients were discharged on Tuesday taking the total tally to 79 people who are recovered from this disease. Chhattisgarh now has 281 active cases of novel coronavirus.
