Corona Update: Bastar District Under Stress After a Death Conjectures Arrival of Andhra Strain

Chhattisgarh: A labourer from Denggudapara in Hyderabad isolated at a COVID establishment in Lohandiguda after developing symptoms. Source’s report, the labour breathed his last today after which an atmosphere of anxiety developed across the district fearing death due to the Andhra Strain. 

The administration was informed through an immediate letter about the death. Following which samples of the deceased are sent to Bhubaneshwar to confirm the arrival of the variant.

The state administration on Tuesday had warned the district Collector to upgrade border testing and strict enforcement against the migrators from Andhra Pradesh.

Following the directions of the State Government, the border connecting Sukma district with Andhra Pradesh is being tightened round the clock.  This new South Indian variant of coronavirus is speculated to be 15 times more dangerous and collapses the patient within 3 to 4 days.   Those coming from Andhra Pradesh are being admitted to the district only after corona testing. 24 hours monitoring is being carried out by installing barricades in the border areas.
