Raipur: The Chhattisgarh capital’s COVID-19 count crossed the grim milestone of 800 mark on Monday after 84 new cases emerged from Raipur district. While 40 patients have been discharged after recovering.

According to the health department, Of 84 new corona patients, 22 patients are from Birgaon, 6 have been found from DKS Hospital, including a doctor, a health care worker and 4 other patients. There are also 6 found in Model Complex Moti Bagh, 10 are reported from Navapara Abhanpur.

Apart from this, there are 2 International Passengers and 3 Inter-State Passengers, said Meera Baghel, District Medical Officer.

With this, the number of coronavirus in Raipur alone has surged to 810, out of which 344 patients have been discharged while 463 are active patients. So far 3 people have died in the district from Corona.
