Raipur: The novel Coronavirus infection is spreading rapidly in Chhattisgarh’s Capital Raipur. As many as 35 new COVID-19 positive cases have been found in the city. At the same time, 15 patients have been discharged after recovering, health official said.
According to the information, the new cases have emerged from different areas of Mowa, Tatibandh, Telibandha, Khamhardih, Santoshi Nagar, New Rajendra Nagar, Police Line, Old PHQ, Bhatagaon, Gudiyari, Mathpurana, Mathapara, Shivanand Nagar and Labhandi.
Most of the infected patients includes youth and children. Housewives have also fallen victim to Corona. On the positive side, Many people have recovered from the disease. The recovery rate in Raipur currently stands at 45%.
As per the latest data, the number of coronavirus infected has reached to 697 in Raipur district. Of which, 314 people have been discharged after recovery. At present, the number of active patients in the district is 283 whereas 2 people have succumbed to death in the capital.
