Corona Chhattisgarh: 22 new cases found in various districts across state; tally nears 1500

Chhattisgarh: On Saturday till 4 pm, 22 new coronavirus cases. With this, The state nears the bleak milestone of 1500 mark. The total number of coronavirus cases in Chhattisgarh has zoomed to 1467.

According to AIIMS, Raipur, of these 22 cases, 8 each reported from Balodabazar district and Rajnandgaon, 3 are from Raipur , 2 from Durg while 1 recorded from Dhamtari district.

AIIMS, Raipur took to their twitter handle to confirm this news ” COVID 19 Update- 22 samples found positive during tests conducted at VRD Lab in AIIIMS till 2 PM with following details- Baloda Bazar-08 Rajnandgaon-08 Raipur-03 Durg-02 Dhamtari-01″

With this, the total number of corona infected in the state has rose to 1467. The number of active patients has increased to 917. On a bright side, 550 patients have been recovered so far which comprises 37% of total cases. While 6 people have succumbed to the virus.

Meanwhile, India has also witnessed its biggest surge in a single day with 11,546 cases recorded from all the states on Wednesday. This brings the total tally of the country to 3,08,657.
