Chhattisgarh: Due to the relaxation of the lockdown, Chhattisgarh has witnessed a high surge in daily count of coronavirus cases.

In the last 24 hours, Balodabazar district has recorded a total of 38 new corona infected patients. By Wednesday 2 pm, the district administration has confirmed 22 new coronavirus patients in the balodabazar area.

A rural health worker (RMHO) of the Health Department and a four-year-old child have also been found infected, apart from this 16 were tested positive on Tuesday night. With this, 58 infected people have been found in the district so far, including 50 active cases and 8 patients have been recovered from the virus.

Earlier, it was reported that the mother of four year old had also tested positive of coronavirus and currently, undergoing treatment in AIIMS, Raipur.

Presently, Balaodabazar has been put under red zone in the view of increasing number of coronavirus cases.

 The total number of coronavirus cases in the state has increased to 587. where 455 are active cases, as many as 2 have died of the virus and 130 have recovered from the disease so far.

At present, 2,16,862 people are kept in 19,326 quarantine centres, while 52,325 are under home quarantine as a precautionary measures.
