Raipur: After crawling almost to a negligible pace, the coronavirus pandemic is fast assuming a lightning speed in Chhattisgarh.
Chhattisgarh recorded more than 1000 cases for the 5th day in a row, On Friday, 1025 new cases were found, taking the tally to 27,013 in the state.
The death toll in Chhattisgarh reached to 251 after 6 fatalities reported in the last 24 hours. Raipur has the highest number of deaths with 137.
The day also saw the discharge of 502 patients following their recovery from the infection, taking the number of such cases to 15109.
Chhattisgarh has officially entered into the danger zone as all the districts are now witnessing atleast one case of COVID-19.
The worst affected district is Raipur, recorded over 340 cases in a single day, followed by Durg (104) and Rajnandgaon (61).
Among the 6 fatalities, four were from Raipur, one each from Durg and Mahasamund.
So far, Chhattisgarh has conducted 5,48,182 tests including 14,491 tests in the last 24 hours.
