Chhattisgarh: On an average, Chhattisgarh is recording almost 50 cases of coronavirus from the past few days but with this, the state is also witnessing significant improvement in the recovery rate as compared to many states.
On Saturday, Chhattisgarh recorded 49 new cases with 1 death, with this the total cases in the state reached to 2076 while the number of deaths rose to 11.
In a positive trend, there has been a significant uptick in the number of recoveries in the state. The recovery rate in Chhattisgarh has jumped to 65 percent with the total count of 1368 people recovered from the virus.
Of the new cases, 25 are reported from Janjgir-jhampa, 7 from Raigarh, 6 from Balrampur, 4 from Narayanpur, 3 from Sukma, 2 from Korba while 1 each case recorded from Raipur and Bilaspur district
The cases that emerged from Narayanpur and Sukma district are of seven security personnel including four Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans and three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) respectively.
In all, 27 districts are affected from the pandemic outbreak in the state. The recent added to the list is Sukma district where 3 cases surfaced on Saturday. Korba had the highest number of Covid-19 cases at 259 confirmed infections, followed by Janjgir-Champa(205), Balodabazar(202), Raipur(196), Bilaspur(171), Mungeli(119) and so on.
Meanwhile, In India, there are now more than 395,000 cases, of which 2,13,830 patients have made a recovery. Active cases stand at 1,68,269. 12,948 people have succumbed to the infection.
