Corona Breaking: 17 new cases surfaced in Chhattisgarh; State witnesses highest hike in a day

Chhattisgarh: As new cases are emerging in chhattisgarh, the spread of novel coronavirus is increasing rapidly in the state. On Sunday, total of 19 cases has been registered in the last 24 hours.

17 more people of Chhattisgarh tested positive for Covid-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 86 on Sunday.

All the fresh cases were diagnosed from various districts of the state. Which includes 7 cases from Balod, 6 from baloda bazar, 2 patients from kabirdham (kawardha) and 1 each from rajim and Janjgir district. These patients will be admitted in Raipur AIIMS by tonight. After the confirmation of all these new cases, the number of active cases surges to 27 in the state.

 For the confirmation of newly identified 16 cases, AIIMS Raipur tweeted “COVID 19 Update-16 more positive patients found in Balod(7), Balodabazar(6), Kawardha(2) and Rajim(1).”

According to the information, the 16 new cases include 14 male and two female. Most of them are migrant labourers or their close contacts.

Meanwhile, one case has emerged from the district Janjgir, Dipanshu Kabra, IG, bilaspur has taken to his twitter handle to confirm the news “Another Corona positive case found in Janjgir”

Earlier, On Sunday, Chhattisgarh recorded 2 new cases of COVID-19 from balod district.With these new cases, so far Chhattisgarh has registered 86 cases in which 59 patients have fully recovered and discharged from the hospital.
