Raipur: With instabilities emerging in the law and order situation in Chhattisgarh, the Congress is on the brink of an assault on the assembly on July 24. This has been done in consideration of a recent instance of a daylight shooting at the capital city of Raipur, although the issue has fueled political debates. This unfortunate event happened on Saturday around the service area of Pachpedinaka-Telibandha on a route that passes the office of a coal trader. The incident was done by two young men on a Pulsar bike; they shot at the trader’s office and his car and later escaped.
Congress Criticizes BJP
After the shooting, Kanhaiya Agrawal, a local Congress leader, condemned the state government while pointing out that the shooting proves that there is no good governance in Chhattisgarh. Congress Minister Agrawal has stated it is about time the Home Minister of the state resigns because the rest of the government has exposed this state while they go to Ayodhya. He said that the shooting had affected the entire state, and this was a result of poor governance by the government in handling insecurity.
Agrawal said that the gang had earlier threatened through e-mail that coal traders and builders would be targeted. Nevertheless, the state’s intelligence structure did not fulfil its role in preventing the attack. He criticized the government stating that the policy could not protect its people because the gunmen were able to perform the shooting during the day and even flee the scene without confrontation.
Insecurity and Criticism
Agrawal also added more to the issue by decrying the BJP-led state government for being a misgovernance regime. He said that the once cherished avenue of good governance has now become a showcasing of the bad management, the gloom and bare facing the whole state not only the capital. Agrawal said that cases of murder attempt to murder, rape, robbery, and dacoity are now reported daily in Chhattisgarh. He said the government was confusing the public and avoiding key questions.
