Raipur: An unusual formation of political consensus unites the Chhattisgarh BJP government with the Congress opposition on the Naxalism issue in the state. After former Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President Dhanendra Sahu publicly supported the government’s Naxalism policies, he announced that valid positive actions should not face opposition.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma sent a personal thank you to Dhanendra Sahu for his political statement, then briefed the leader about active government intelligence against Naxalis. Sharma utilised his social media platform to share the conversation details, which he conducted with Sahu, because it showed vital support between political parties regarding state and national security matters.

Sahu communicated to the deputy minister that the government has implemented exceptionally forceful and revolutionary measures against Naxals. All leaders must unite to support peace initiatives because, according to him, truth should not be obstructed by political parties.

Bastar programs under the Deputy CM received an update from Sharma during his conversation with Sahu. The Bastar Olympics, along with Bastar Pundum cultural initiative and selective surveys, serve as initiatives to offer Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana housing to Naxal-affected households.

The government will build more than 500 memorial sites that will include ₹3.03 lakh marble statues to honor those who died fighting for peace. The tribute received recognition as an honorable way to remember the fallen people, according to Sahu.

During his speech, the Deputy CM advocated for unification on Naxalism issues by emphasizing that collective political messaging would increase national determination toward these matters.
