Raipur: In a Janadarshan programme held at his residence office today, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mr Vishnudev Sai, presented cheques of ₹2 lakh each among the gifted children of workers enrolled under the Labor Department. This distribution also involved an incentive amount of ₹ 1 lakh to every student under the voucher scheme of Chief Minister Noni-Babu Meritorious Education Assistance Scheme, besides ₹ 1 lakh for the purchase of scooters. The function was attended by the State’s Labor Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan and the overjoyed parents of deserved children.
In the presence of the labour department total of 13 children of registered construction workers from the Chhattisgarh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board have distributed cheques of ₹2 lakh each, totalling ₹26 lakh. This allocation was ₹1 lakh apart from the ones provided specifically intended to be used for the purchase of scooters.
The beneficiaries of the scheme were 10th and 12th standard children of the workers of the register construction during the Academic year 2023-24 who had top 10 in exams of Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Exams during the year 2021-2022. Among the beneficiaries, the names include Honisha from the Gariaband district, Denisa from the Mahasamund district, Babita and Uma from the Raigarh district, Ayush Kumar from the Surajpur district, Anshika from the Balrampur district, Meena Yadav from the Jashpur district, Vanshika from Rajnandgaon district, and Tosan Kumar, Khomendra, Padmini.
The Chief Minister also focused on the provision and appreciation of the academic talent of children from laborer families. He said such move does not only encourage the students but also pride and hope to their families. The process of distributing the checks is a part of the plans and strategies of the state government set to develop the education and therefore, the future of children from economically weaker sections.
