Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudeo Sai attended a farmer’s convention and felicitation event in Kusumghata village, Kabirdham district, today. During the event, the CM announced a plan to provide married women under the Mahatari Vandana scheme with Rs 12,000 annually. The disbursement of the amount is expected to commence soon, benefitting numerous women. Chief Minister Sai was warmly welcomed by party workers during the gathering.

Addressing the audience, CM Vishnudeo Sai stated that within a month of taking office, the government has approved the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for 18 lakh impoverished families in the state. Additionally, on December 25, 12 lakh farmers in the state were given a bonus for two years. The state government has handed over the investigation of the PSC scam to the CBI. Stringent action will be taken against those found guilty in the case.

During the event, CM Sai visited stalls set up by the Women and Child Development Department and the Forest Department. He observed the nutrition distribution to infants at the Women and Child Development Department’s stall, actively participating in feeding the children. The Chief Minister also distributed nutritional kits to pregnant women and gifts to adolescent girls at the stall.

Present at the occasion were Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Agriculture Minister Ramvichar Netam, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, and other dignitaries. The visit showcased the government’s commitment to various welfare programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of women, children, and farmers in the state.
