Besides agrochemicals, CM Sai has paid much attention to social issues such as diseases for which measures are coming up, especially in districts like Jashpur, where snake bites are frequent. He has directed officials to ensure that all the primary and community health centers in these areas are adequately supplied with antisnake venom. Furthermore, he has subsequently answered that trained doctors and other health officers should be on standby at these centers to attend to cases of snake bites and ensure that they do not claim more lives.

Besides the availability of monsoon kits, CM Saikia has also discussed the availability of clean drinking water during the onset of monsoon season. He has directed ministers to check and balance to ascertain that all the state’s tube wells and hand pumps are in proper order, cleaned, and chlorinated. Moreover, he has ordered that all essential appropriate life-saving medicines be made available in the hospitals and health centers across the state for use during monsoon and its health complications.

The Chief Minister has also declared that the health department must constantly monitor these areas, even the villages prone to infectious diseases.
