Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai embarks on a two-day tour of his home district, Jashpur, commencing today. During this visit, Sai is set to participate in various district programs, engaging in sports activities and discussions with BJP activists. Discussions regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections will also take place. Subsequently, he will join the concluding program of a cricket match held in memory of the late Dilip Singh Judev, son of veteran BJP leader Santuraj Pratap Judev. The night’s repose will be at his residence in Bagiya.
Meanwhile, the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education has initiated the examination season. Today marks the commencement of the 10th-grade Hindi paper, with over 3.45 lakh students registered statewide. Raipur district alone has 18,525 students participating, distributed across 150 examination centers. Yesterday, the 12th-grade Hindi paper was conducted, receiving positive feedback from students due to its simplicity.
In the face of rising inflation, Congress plans a demonstration in Raipur today. Shastri Chowk will be the venue for vocal protests against the central government. Notable leaders, including PCC Chief Deepak Baij, will join the demonstration.
Furthermore, an FIR has been filed against officials of the Christian community. A day earlier, a protest was staged at the Nava Raipur protest site, leading to a subsequent march towards the ministry. The demonstration resulted in a clash with the police, causing injuries to around a dozen officers. Charges have been pressed against Christian community officials, including obstruction of governmental duties and involvement in other disruptions.
