Raipur: Today, several major programs are planned for Raipur, which Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is also planning to address. Namely, based on the said schedule, CM Sai will go to Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium at 1 PM, where he will be joining the BJP membership drive. During this event, for the first time in public, CM Sai himself will join the BJP’s membership. This is a significant step for the formation of the party since the main agenda of the membership campaign is to increase the party’s popularity across the entire Chhattisgarh region. The said campaign shall be launched by the BJP State President, Kiran Dev, with the ceremony of the induction of CM Sai into the party.
The event at Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium will also be inaugurated soon, and the presence of former Governor Ramesh Bains will be observed. They will be surrounded by several other ministers in the cabinet, members of parliament, and several members of the legislative assembly. This move of the BJP is likely to witness a massive turnout of the party workers and is actually indicative of the strength and solidarity of the BJP. After this launch, the party’s membership enrollment campaign will start in 33 of the districts of Chhattisgarh starting tomorrow. From 6th September, the above campaign will be taken out to 405 mandals, and it will be a state-level campaign.
At 6:00 PM at night, CM Sai will have the Nua Khai Shobhayatra event at Grass Memorial Ground. Nua Khai, an important festival of the area, is performed to welcome the harvest season and also enacts traditional ceremonies. This participation is also evidence that the Chief Minister supports respecting the traditions of the place. As much as the Shobhayatra will end at 7 PM, CM Sai will be at the Chief Minister’s residence by 7:10 PM.
In another political event that was held today, the Congress party was especially involved in an event it intended to conduct a silent procession owing to the increasing rates of violence against women. This demonstration will be organized by the District Congress Committee at Rajiv Gandhi Chowk beginning at 11 AM.
